Creative Associate

City Church is a multi-ethnic, multi-economic, multi-generational church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, seeking to hire a part-time (20-25 hours a week) Creative Associate to our growing staff. The role of the Creative Associate is to assist in the creative ministries of City Church under the leadership of the Executive Discipleship Pastor and the direction of the Creative Director. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of City Church and the ability to align creative elements with that strategy.

The Creative Associate will be responsible for:

1. Modeling Biblical Priorities

Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of City Church. The Creative Associate should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ. The Creative Associate models a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable). The Creative Associate strives to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions.

These objectives are accomplished by:

  • Committing to a daily quiet time with God.

  • Participating in a City Church small group on a regular basis.

  • Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.

  • Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of City Church employees, as defined by the Staff Handbook.

2. Design

The Creative Associate will be responsible for assisting in the execution of design for online, on-screen, and print applications.

  • The creation of graphics and adapting them for multiple online, on-screen, and print applications.

  • Ability to take previous design files and modify them while keeping the integrity of the original design.

  • Necessary skills: Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Eye for design and current trends. Understanding of blending modes, RGB and CYMK colorspace, layering and clipping masks, formatting for print material

3. Social Media

The Creative Associate will manage all social media platforms and so he or she must have an extensive understanding of these platforms.

  • Create content that is cohesive with the right blending

  • Create engaging stories

  • Shoot lifestyle photos

  • Color/edit photos that are on brand

4. Administrative Tasks

  • Make changes and updates to our website for clear communication.

  • Various administrative tasks connected to the Creative Department.
